Living and dining
The big round table is the centre: breakfast, games, the long conversations after dinner. It can be extended, and an extra leaf is behind the sofa. The pellet stove keeps it warm.
Everyone at one table, a stove at your back and a sauna in the garden.
Feni in Mückenloch is open plan: living, dining and kitchen flow into one another. Whoever cooks joins the conversation, whoever sits by the stove is part of it.
The house was fully renovated and furnished with love. Light floorboards, a big round table, colour in the right places. For up to eight guests who want to have the place all to themselves.
The house has stood here since 1930. Over the years people lived and worked in it, and part of it was even a stable. Then it stood empty for a long time.
I often walked past the empty house and always saw a holiday home in it. In 2022 it suddenly came up for sale. In the end only the outer walls were left standing. We uncovered it, rebuilt it and let light in. Then came the colour: mint-green shutters, a red door, fabrics from Marrakech.
Today it is not a perfect house. It is a house with character, filled with lightness.

Open to the living space, with a wooden worktop and everything you need to cook together. Fresh bread and flowers are part of it for me.

Four bedrooms, light and quiet, for eight guests: four single beds and two double beds, spread over the ground and upper floor. Every room has something of its own, a striped bed or a skylight above the pillow.

The barrel sauna stands in the garden, with an outdoor shower. Afterwards, a seat in the red chairs in front of it, and everyone is complete again.
Downstairs you cook, eat and laugh together, upstairs you sleep. The bedroom on the ground floor is right next to the bathroom.
